NTU Beyond Borders Project : Social Devotion Awards - Extension of International Service Incentive Program Introduction
To enhance students' global mobility and continue the spirit of the social contribution, this program leverages proposals from winners of the Student Social Devotion Special Award and the Student Altruistic Award to guide NTU students in participating in international service, thereby expanding the scale and impact of the service. This incentive program, based on the degree to which the application project leads to the involvement of new members, offers a basic award of up to NT$200,000 and a special award ranging from NT$60,000 to NT$200,000 to recognize their contributions.
Target Recipients
Recipients of the Student Social Devotion Special Award or the Student Altruistic Award from NTU who lead new members (current NTU students, excluding those on leave of absence or withdrawn from the university) to participate in international service overseas.

Award Conditions and Funding |
1.Basic Award: After the annual incentive program is announced, applicants who lead at least one currently enrolled NTU student (excluding those on leave of absence or withdrawn) to participate in international service will be granted an incentive based on the service country/region: (1)Asia (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau): A maximum incentive of NT$100,000. (2)Europe, the Americas, Oceania, and Africa: A maximum incentive of NT$200,000. 2.Additional Award: Additional Award may be granted based on the degree of involvement of the new members led by the applicant: (1)Leading a total of 2 new members: An additional incentive of up to NT$60,000. (2)Leading a total of 3 to 4 new members: An additional incentive of up to NT$150,000. (3)Leading a total of 5 or more new members: An additional incentive of up to NT$200,000. 3.Conditions for New Members and Service Duration: (1)The aforementioned new members must have started participating in the international service overseas after the announcement of the incentive program for the current year. (2)The actual execution period of the service project must be 7 days or more, excluding travel time. |

How to Apply |
1.Application and Review: (1)Please submit your proposal by September 30, 2026 (Note: Assuming 115 in ROC calendar refers to 2026). (2)Applications will be reviewed upon submission (on a rolling basis). Submissions will cease once the annual budget is depleted. Review Criteria |
1.Feasibility and Innovation of the Project (30%): (1)Evaluation of the application's innovative thinking, concreteness, and practical operability, as well as the relationship with international partners and the level of prior preparation. (2)Priority will be given to projects that have an existing foundation in international service, extending and expanding the effort to lead new members to serve overseas. 2.Global Perspective and Cross-Cultural Exchange (30%): Evaluation of how the application demonstrates a global perspective, promotes cross-cultural exchange, and connects to practical responses to global challenges. 3.Outcomes and Impact (40%): The application must clearly articulate the long-term impact and sustainability of its outcomes on guiding students toward continuous participation. |

1.Reporting Major Changes: If there are major changes to the project (such as changes in location, activity format, team members, or due to force majeure factors) that result in non-compliance with the incentive conditions or affect the actual execution outcome, the applicant must proactively notify the award unit by phone and email, stating the reasons. The award unit reserves the right to re-evaluate and re-approve the grant based on the actual circumstances. 2.Documentation: Please properly keep all relevant receipts and photos to facilitate verification that the members were indeed led to participate in service overseas. 3.Violation of Regulations: Applicants who violate school regulations or laws during the execution period will have their incentive qualification revoked, and relevant funds will be reclaimed. 4.Limitation: (1)Each applicant is limited to applying for one project per year in principle. (2)Applications for travel to countries and regions with a Red Alert travel advisory issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will not be accepted. Applications for travel to countries and regions with an Orange Alert require the submission of an additional Informed Consent Form (the award unit reserves the right to amend this requirement as needed). 5.This program provides incentives. For activity funding needs, please refer to the university's NTU Beyond Borders Project (https://ntubeyondborders.ntu.edu.tw/#sec2) and make good use of the resources available from various administrative units. 6.The award unit reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or interpret the terms of this incentive program. |
